  1. Frogs! At Royal Botanical Gardens

Burlington’s Royal Botanical Gardens is always a great place to visit, but on now is Frogs! A Ribbiting Exhibit. Find colourful poison dart frogs, the African clawed frog, and the waxy monkey frog, amongst others. Aside from the frogs themselves, you’ll find interactive exhibits, a daily puppet show, story time, and animal encounter presentation that happens three times every day. While you’re there, visit the Mediterranean Garden with its beautiful trees (there’s a cork tree!), flowers, cacti, and koi pond, and the Breezeway Display. And the natural playground is always a must for younger RBG guests.

  1. Museums of Burlington

Burlington is home to two museums, Joseph Brant Museum and Ireland House Museum — why not take some time this March Break to explore some of our local history?

Ireland House was home to Joseph Ireland, an early settler who came to Burlington from England in 1819. The house was built between 1835 and 1837, and housed generations of the Ireland family until 1985. You can book tours of Ireland House from Tuesday to Friday, and Sunday, and take part in interactive programs.

As well as its three permanent galleries, Joseph Brant Museum also is hosting the Trailblazing: Women in Canada Since 1867 exhibit until May 27. The museum is also running a March Break camp called the Great Canadian Tour, where kids aged 5 to 12 can learn all about Canada’s history and culture.

  1. LEGOLAND Discovery Centre
