Food, music, and fun are on the menu at Spencer Smith Park this weekend when the Burlington Food Truck Festival rolls back into town.

Starting at 5 p.m. on Friday, July 21, and from noon on July 22 and 23, you can peruse nearly 40 food trucks to see what strikes your fancy: Viet-Mex fusion from Los Vietnamita Taqueria, handmade dumplings from feastTO, jerk chicken from Jerk Brothers, arepas from the Arepa Republic, grilled cheese from Meltdown Cheesery, are but a few of the choices that will be on offer. There will be vegetarian, halal, vegan, and gluten-free options available (see the food truck listings here to find out which trucks offer these options).

There is no admission fee, and the festival is fully licensed, with a performance schedule that includes The Hip Experience, Dramazoid, and Pearl Jamming. Organized by Canadian Food Truck Festivals, the Burlington iteration includes a children’s village with bouncy castles, games, and rides, as well as eating challenges scheduled throughout the weekend. Last year’s eating challenges included a corn-eating challenge and a contest to find the person who could eat a corn dog the fastest.

Canadian Food Truck Festivals has raised more than $280,000 for its charitable partners since 2013; the Joseph Brant Hospital Foundation is amongst the recipients of its fundraising efforts, alongside the SickKids Foundation and William Osler Health System Foundation.

If you’re looking for live music to listen to this weekend while eating funnel cake, poutine, a kathi roll and/or shrimp tacos, follow the crowd and the aromas to Spencer Smith Park.
