Sept. 16, 2023 — From Appleby Line Street Festival

Get ready for a fantastic community experience at the Appleby Line Street Festival! This delightful family-friendly event invites the neighborhood to come together and enjoy a wide array of activities, a bustling marketplace, and captivating demonstrations, all brought to you by local community groups and businesses. Join us on Sunday, September 24, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

This annual extravaganza promises something for everyone, featuring highlights such as the Burlington Teen Tour Band performing at 2 p.m., live busker performances, pony rides, a classic car showcase, bouncy castles, and an exciting kids’ zone. Please be aware that Appleby Line will be temporarily closed to traffic between New and Fairview streets from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

“We are pleased to announce the new addition this year of a beer garden hosted by Nickel Brook Brewing,” said Cornelius Sawatzky, one of the co-chairs of the festival committee. “It has grown tremendously over the years due to the dedicated efforts by committed volunteers from our community. They have worked diligently behind the scenes to bring this popular event to the community.”

“I invite everyone to take the opportunity to meet your neighbours, your local business providers and community organizations at this carnival-like event,” said Ward 5 Councillor Paul Sharman. “Most of all, take the opportunity to meet and thank the organizers. Their dedication is a true example of community spirit.”
