Preparations are already underway for the 2023 Freedom Celebration Festival, organized annually by the Halton Black History Awareness Society (HBHAS).
The Freedom Celebration Festival offers music, food, children’s activities, and more in honour of multiculturalism, diversity, and inclusion. Many Canadian reggae, soul, funk, ska, R&B and pop artists have participated in years past, including Garnetta & Dagroovmasters, Michael Dunstan, Errol Blackwood, Luckystickz, and Baba Williams’ Drum Circle.
The HBHAS has put out a call for vendors interested in participating in this year’s festival, which will take place on August 5, 2023 at Spencer Smith Park. If you are an interested vendor, contact regsepiclife@gmail.com, or go to HBHAS’ website, hbhas.ca for more information on the festival.
