The City of Burlington Senior Programming people and your Partnering Aldershot Seniors Committee are working together to start some weekly seniors programs and activities this September in the community rooms at Aldershot Arena and Aldershot Pool!

These are pilot programs, so their continuing will depend on YOU!

Today, August 7, you can view the Fall 2024/Winter 2025 Adult Program Booklet [PDF] to check out what will now be available in Aldershot for seniors 55+ as well as in the rest of Burlington.

Registration is required online or in-person starting August 15 at 7 a.m. for all recreation programs (there is a nominal registration Fee for each four-week session), including these new ones in the Aldershot Arena community room:

  • Tuesdays starting Sept. 17 at 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. — euchre, dominoes, and Mexican train with light refreshments (see page 20 in the Adult Program booklet);
  • Thursdays starting Sept. 19 at 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. — brain teasers with coffee and pastries (page 19 in the booklet);
  • Movie and music trivia mornings and sing along socials with light refreshments (see page 21 in booklet).

In addition, Partnering Aldershot Seniors Committee will be providing Free drop-in pilot programming in the Aldershot Pool Community Room on Wednesdays starting Sept.18:

10 a.m. — chair fitness

11 a.m. — Senior topics: presentations by local professionals with lunch following

12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. — Current affairs discussion
