The office of Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr has confirmed that he will be present to deliver welcoming remarks at the BFAST Transit Users’ Forum this Saturday. The forum starts at 1 p.m. in Centennial Hall at the Central Branch, Burlington Public Library, 2331 New St.

He joins Burlington Mayor Marianne Meed Ward, who will open the forum.

Meanwhile, Ward 5 Councillor Paul Sharman’s office has sent regrets, the only cancellation by a city councillor received by forum organizers thus far.

The BFAST Transit Users’ Forum is back on its usual springtime schedule after pandemic cancellations. This is the seventh time the event has been held. It is organized annually by the volunteers at BFAST, an independent citizens’ group of transit supporters. BFAST is not affiliated with either Burlington Transit or the City of Burlington. The forum gives transit riders a chance to ask questions directly to the management of Burlington Transit and hear a roundup of transit developments and prospects.
