Say hello to our “little lemon,” Cilantro!

Cilantro’s story began last April when she arrived at the shelter as a stray mother, accompanied by her kittens. While her kittens quickly found loving homes, Cilantro’s journey was far from over. Fondly nicknamed the “Lemon Child” by shelter staff, she seemed to attract misfortune like a magnet. Her health journey is fraught with ups and downs, from battling illness to requiring a special diet and constant eye medications. Yet, through it all, she remains a beacon of hope, love, and endless affection.

Despite her challenges, Cilantro never loses her sweet nature or playful demeanour. Each obstacle she faces, she tackles with courage and grace, earning the admiration of all who meet her. With her endearing snaggletooth and unwavering spirit, she captures the hearts of everyone around her.

For those considering adopting Cilantro, it’s important to note that she may require a bit of extra care and expenses. But how can you put a price on her love?! As days have turned into weeks and weeks into months, Cilantro is now ready to find her forever home. Despite the uncertainties that lay ahead, one thing remains constant: her capacity to love unconditionally.

Cilantro is available for adoption through the Burlington Humane Society. Local-news.ca has partnered with the Burlington Humane Society to give you stories of some of the pets they have available for adoption. If you fall in love and want to adopt one of the pets featured, go to the Adopt a Cat or Kitten or the Adopt a Dog or Puppy page on their website for more information on how to proceed.
