December 20, 2023 — Cogeco Connexion
Cogeco’s YourTV is offering special holiday programming that reflects the communities it serves throughout the month of December.
It’s been an extremely busy start to the holiday season at YourTV. Across Ontario, the team, including community volunteers, have been producing holiday themed programs such as Santa Claus Parades, Choir Concerts, visits with Santa, and other local features, such as food drives for community food banks. YourTV has something the whole family can enjoy.
“In today’s environment, it’s more difficult to share our programming on social media to reach residents. Local media and sharing community stories and programming matters now more than ever to help ensure we stay connected and feel part of our community. At Cogeco, we’re proud to be your local connection,” Frédéric Perron, President, Cogeco Connexion.
“We’re proud to work together with our volunteers and community partners to cover what’s happening in each of the cities and towns we serve this holiday season, bringing you programming and stories happening in your community,” said Tim Caddigan, Senior Director, YourTV and Community Relations, Cogeco.
You’ll be able to watch the following local programming (and more!) on Cable 700/Epico 100.
Burlington Santa Claus Parade: Coverage of the annual holiday parade, recorded December 3, 2023, in downtown Burlington.
Christmas Carol Service: Service from Knox Presbyterian Church in Oakville containing 60-minutes of carols, Christmas music, and lessons.
West End Jazz Christmas: A 2016 West End Jazz Christmas show performed in front of a live audience. It features the Swing Shift Big Band with vocalist David Statham. There is also a second holiday special with West End Jazz airing over the break as well titled West End Jazz Christmas Christmas Greetings from Annie and Denielle, featuring two great vocalists, Annie Bonsignore & Denielle Bassels.
And of course, there’s the Halton News Holiday Specials, airing between December 22 and January 1 at 5:00 p.m. daily.
Cogeco subscribers can view the special programming on their local YourTV channel (700 HD Cable/100 Epico). Check your local schedule at www.yourtv.tv.
