Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Do you want to help create a more sustainable and eco-friendly future for Burlington? Then the Litter League Challenge is for you!

BurlingtonGreen has launched a new campaign to raise funds for their community programming and events. The Litter League Challenge aims to create a cleaner and greener Burlington by collecting donations and inspiring local litter clean-ups by concerned citizens like you.

To be a participant in this fundraiser you can do either of the following:

  1. Donate
  2. Be part of a fundraising campaign

But it’s not just about donating! You can also become a fundraiser and join the Litter League Challenge in three easy steps. First, create a Litter League account and choose to either join an existing Litter League clean-up team or create your own. Next, set an achievable fundraising goal and personalize your fundraising page with images, descriptions, and messages about why you care about the environment and why the Litter League Challenge is important to you. Invite others to join your team or donate to help you reach your fundraising goal.Then, get cleaning! Choose your litter clean-up location and date, and help make Burlington more beautiful.

Some additional information to know:

  • When choosing to join you will be asked to make a Litter League account and will have to name your fundraising page by using the Litter League’s own online Litter League campaign page, hosted by CanadaHelps.
  • Set an achievable fundraising goal that you can adjust as you go. Meet your goal early? Make it higher!
  • If you’d like to make a new team, the “team captain” will be in charge of creating, managing, and updating the team’s page.
  • BurlingtonGreen suggests sharing your progress on social media and, of course, thanking everyone who contributed afterward.
