Blair Lancaster, former City of Burlington councillor for Ward 6 and Halton Region councillor, is back with the second episode of Place Makers with Blair Lancaster for Local-news.ca, this time speaking with Margaret Johnson and Ebbe and Jane Marquardsen.

After his retirement from Joseph Brant Hospital as vice-president of development and community relations, Ebbe Marquardsen began doing humanitarian work in Sierra Leone, helping to install water systems in orphanages and schools. On one memorable trip, he met the young Margaret Johnson, who he and wife Jane ended up essentially adopting.

Blair speaks here to Margaret, Ebbe, and Jane. Hear Margaret’s inspiring story and more about the work Ebbe and Margaret are still doing to help Sierra Leone.
