The Aldershot Players are back.

The amateur dinner theatre group, which has operated since 1986 but stalled during COVID, returns this week with a new comedy.

The show, at West Plains United Church on Plains Road, is called Knickers: A Brief Comedy.

The production is about an Ontario town facing hard luck until a trio of determined, Wednesday-night weight-watchers and a newly-appointed tourism officer rally the community to plan a custom underwear business.

“A story of four women banding together to help their community in times of struggle, Knickers! is distinctively Canadian but has universal themes of economic hardships, hope, and friendship,” according to The Aldershot Players website.

The show runs from Friday, October 21 to Saturday, Nov 5 at 7:30 in the evening. The show and dinner is $45. The show only is $20 per person. For tickets call 905-381-1441.

The Aldershot Players, also known as TAP, performs two shows per year, one in the fall and one in the spring. Its main focus is comedies, farces, and classics.
