Building on the success of last year’s Art Walk, this year’s event will be at Burloak Park on Saturday, August 27. Meet artists, enjoy their art, participate in some art activities, and enjoy the last bit of summer!

This free event runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is suitable for people of any age. The Elizabeth Gardens Creative Collective has organized local artists to display their work (although they will not be selling any art at this event) alongside interactive art stations, where Art Walk attendees can try their hand at a number of different mediums. Last year, budding artists and long-time creatives were able to try paint pouring, blowing paint through a straw onto paper, painting rocks and more.

This year’s participating artists include painters, ceramicists, photographers, and woodworkers; some of the returning artists include Jo Wagstaffe, John Wagstaffe, Kelly Devenish, Caroline Saint, and Heather de Haan. Musician Chad Campbell will also be playing near the park’s large pavilion.

Participants are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to a food drive hosted by St. Elizabeth’s Church for Reach Out Centre for Kids (ROCK). Food donations will be accepted at a donation station at the west entrance of Burloak Park.

Sponsors for this event include Riddell Real Estate, the City of Burlington, ECS Coffee, Breville, and Hemispheres Music Studio.
