Driver absenteeism is causing high rates of school bus cancellations and delays in Halton.
Halton Student Transportation Services warned parents and guardians on Feb. 22, 2022, that the Omicron variant of COVID-19 may result in an increase of absent drivers, and that now is playing out in bus route cancellations.
Students and parents may find that morning or afternoon school bus runs are cancelled; if cancelled, it will be cancelled for a number of consecutive school days.
Check http://haltonbus.ca to see if your student’s bus routes has been affected. There is also a parent portal app that you can sign up for called BusPlanner, linked here.
