Every other Wednesday from May through October, there is a Charity Bike Night in town. There are two special nights coming up on October 6 and 20 to wrap up the events for the year.

A Burlington Bike Night Social will be held on October 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Uptown Social House, 1900 Walkers Line (at Upper Middle Road) and they will keep the patio open for the event on October 20 as well. Remember to bring your mask to be able to go inside. Both nights, there will be a raffle and 50:50 draw.

On October 20, the Bike Night event will also be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a barbeque meal will be available for purchase. Donny Petersen will be coming for a book signing (The Milwaukee-Eight) and there will be a Show ‘N’ Shine with trophies provided by Motorcycle Enhancements Inc. Trophies will be awarded in different categories: Best Cruiser, Best Sportster, Best Chopper, Best Paint, Best Chrome, Best Trike, Best Classic and more. Free door prizes will round out the events. Show ‘N’ Shine entry fee is $10, with all of the funds going to the Compassion Society of Halton.

James Anthony and Leroy Emmanuel will join the October 20 final bike night of the year. Leroy was Marvin Gaye’s best friend and lead guitarist growing up. It should be an incredible closing night, with special guest Jessey the Elf helping. We encourage you to bring the kids and your family. The Compassion Society of Halton will be there to accept the money that was raised for them this year. They respond to community need for food, clothing, and everyday household articles, and also provide referrals to local resources. Show your love and support. These events were started because, as Sue Stitch says, “they need help.”

Join us and bring your family, even if you don’t have a bike, or don’t know what a cruiser, chopper, sportster or trike is!  You’ll have a great time supporting the Compassion Society of Halton.
