Did you know that Burlington is included in three different federal ridings? The candidates running in each of the ridings are noted below, shown in alphabetical order by last name, as they are expected to be listed on the ballots. To visit their websites, look in the sources listed at the end of the article.

Burlington

The candidates include Michael Bator, People’s Party of Canada (PPC), a software engineer; Emily Brown, Conservative Party of Canada (Conservative); Christian Cullis, Green Party of Canada (Green); Karina Gould, Liberal Party of Canada (Liberal), member of parliament (MP) since 2015; Nick Page, New Democratic Party (NDP), and Jevin David Carroll (the Rhinoceros Party).

Oakville–North Burlington

The candidates include Pam Damoff, Liberal, MP since 2015; Lenaee Dupuis, NDP, an entrepreneur; Gilbert Jubinville, PPC, an engineering technologist; Hanan Rizkalla, Conservative, a healthcare business executive; and Bruno Sousa, Green, a marketing business owner and entrepreneur.

Milton

The candidates include Nadeem Akbar, Conservative, a corporate information technology consultant; Shibli Haddad, PPC, software developer and entrepreneur; Chris Kowalchuk, Green, working in the wine, spirits, and beer industry; Adam van Koeverden, Liberal, an MP since 2019; and Muhammad Riaz Sahi, NDP, lawyer.

To vote, you will need one piece of valid government-issued identification with your photo, name, and current address, such as a driver’s licence. Advance polls will be open from Friday, September 10 to Monday, September 13, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. On election day, Monday, September 20, you can vote from 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. You will need to vote at your assigned polling station. Take your voter information card with you if you have received one.
