May 9, 2024 — Art Gallery of Burlington
The Art Gallery of Burlington (AGB) is thrilled to announce a significant donation by Alinea Land Corporation. The Burlington-based group will be the presenting sponsors for the next two exhibitions in the Lee-Chin Family Gallery: “We Who Have Known Many Shores” by artist Alize Zorlutuna (May 10 to September 1, 2024) and David Harper (September 13, 2024 to January 5, 2025).
The family business was founded in 1951 and grew from a single meat processing plant in Hamilton to become one of the largest land development companies in the Halton and Hamilton Regions. Well known for their philanthropic and business ventures the Paletta Family continues Pat and Anita Paletta’s legacy by investing in the AGB.
“We are excited to announce this important partnership with the AGB,” said Paul Paletta, president and CEO of Alinea Land Corporation. “Our goal at Alinea is to enhance prosperity within the communities and by investing in the next two exhibitions at the AGB we continue the work our parents started. Arts and culture can make a positive, meaningful, and lasting influence for people within our community and we hope we inspire every person to come down and visit these exhibitions.”
“By carrying on the family legacy of enriching cultural practices in the community, we can inspire a new generation to connect with art, embrace diversity, and make our communities thrive,” said Michael Paletta, vice president of Alinea Land Corporation. “We aim to foster a dynamic and inclusive community where celebration and commitment to the arts is passed down for generations to come, making our communities a place where people can live, work, play, and flourish.”
“This significant donation represents the shared values and goals of AGB and Alinea Land Corporation,” said Emma Sankey, Executive Director of Art Gallery of Burlington. “At the AGB, we believe that art and culture have a significant impact on society and we offer a space for learning, where people can engage with exhibitions, participate in programs, and exchange knowledge with artists, educators, and community leaders. Alinea Land Corporation is committed to fostering a dialogue on integrating arts and culture into its investments and projects and we are thrilled to partner with them on the next two major exhibitions.”
