On Sunday, November 27, 2022, at approximately 3:30 a.m. police and fire services responded to a vehicle fire in the area of 5463 Dundas Street west of Tremaine Road in the City of Burlington. After the fire was extinguished, emergency services personnel discovered the body of a deceased person inside the vehicle. The circumstances are suspicious and the Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation. The deceased person has not been identified as of yet and the vehicle will been taken to the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto for further examination.
Police would like to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the fire, travelled in the area of Dundas Street between Bronte Road & Appleby Line, or who may have any dashcam footage from November 27 between 2:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. within the following area:
Highway 407 (north)
Appleby Line (west)
Bronte Road (east)
QEW / 403 (south)
