The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) will be managing Remembrance Day road closures on Fri., Nov. 11, and detours for a movie shoot in Aldershot on Wed., Nov. 9 and Thurs., Nov. 10.

According to a City of Burlington notice, a film production will shut down North Shore Blvd. West “off and on” between Boothman Ave. and Daryl Dr. from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday of this week. HRPS will help manage through traffic in detouring around Boothman Ave., Hendrie Ave., and Daryl Dr., and will maintain emergency vehicle access.

On Remembrance Day, this Friday, there will be a procession beginning at Central School on Baldwin Street at 10:30 a.m., and ending at the Cenotaph, in Veteran Square beside City Hall. From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Brant St. between Baldwin and Pine streets will be closed (with a detour on Victoria Ave.), as will Ontario St. between Locust and Brant streets, and Locust St. between Elgin and Ontario streets. Baldwin Street between Hurd Ave. and Brant St. will also be closed from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and again from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
