Janet is a gorgeous 8 month old calico cat. She and her four littermates were found when they were just babies in a shed behind Rona. They were very fearful when they first came in, and were quite slow to socialize due to their extreme fear. As a result, she’s still at the shelter now and has lived here just about her whole life!

She’s never had a home, going from outdoors to our shelter and growing up here. She was briefly in a foster home when she was younger with her litter mates, but that’s the closest she’s gotten.

She doesn’t get a lot of attention in the shelter because she is so skittish and doesn’t show well, but three of her littermates have been adopted now and are all thriving and really coming out of their shells amazingly well in homes. We are optimistic that she’d do the same!

She is spayed, vaccinated, and healthy, and just needs someone to give her a chance to shine!

Janet is available for adoption through the Burlington Humane Society. If you fall in love and want to adopt one of the pets featured, go to the Adopt a Cat or Kitten or the Adopt a Dog or Puppy page on their website for more information on how to proceed.
