The Green Party of Ontario (GPO) is proud to announce that Kyle Hutton has been nominated as its candidate for Burlington ahead of the 2022 provincial election.
“I’m tired of hearing excuses from the status quo parties,” Hutton said. “Growing up in Ontario, I’ve experienced the empty promises of governments. Enough is enough. Ontario Greens have a real plan for real action.”
Kyle Hutton is a long-time Burlington resident, political activist and local transportation industry worker. “Kyle is a passionate voice in local and provincial politics,” said Ontario Greens Leader Mike Schreiner. “He’s an experienced volunteer and campaigner and knows what it’s going to take to bring more Green voices to Queen’s Park and implement real change.”
“What I’ve lived through in the past decades of Liberal, NDP and Conservative leadership is a rise in housing prices and precarious work; forced municipal amalgamations and interference in local democracy; and a world on the precipice of 1.5˚C warming, with no action and seemingly little interest beyond what they can promise at election time,” Hutton said. “The Green Party offers Ontarians a chance for a government that will act sincerely, decisively and effectively to tackle our common problems right now, while ensuring a sustainable future. I stand ready to represent the people of Burlington to make that happen in our community.”
