Nov. 15, 2021 — Press Release
From the Burlington Performing Arts Centre
The Burlington Performing Arts Centre’s 5th Annual FESTIVAL TREES will be sparking yuletide joy in the community once again from November 18th to December 18th (viewing 12pm to 4pm on Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sun as well as one hour prior to all performances). For over four weeks, BPAC’s Family Lobby will be filled with a dazzling assortment of 6′ pre-lit Christmas trees, all generously donated by Canadian Tire – Burlington Stores and uniquely decorated and sponsored by benevolent businesses – until each special tree goes home for the holidays with a winning silent auction bid.
During the Festival of Trees, BPAC is also collecting donations of new, unwrapped toys to be distributed to those in need in our community. Please drop off your toy drive donations in Canadian Tire’s classic pick-up truck parked in the BPAC Lobby.
Thank you to our Tree Sponsors: Active Parents; Aldershot Village BIA; American Women’s Club of Southern Ontario; Burlington Post; Fairhome Interiors; Frederikse Law; Harmony Fine Jewellers; Laurel Steel; Long & McQuade; Molinaro Group; Museums of Burlington; O.P.P. Victim Assistance Volunteer Program; PV&V Insurance Centre; Rebecca Keddy Real Estate Group from Davenport Realty; Royal Botanical Gardens; Son of a Peach Pizzeria/The Sunshine Doughnut Co.; The Cover Guy; Thrive Massage Therapy and Wellness.
Of course, the best time to see the display of trees is prior to a festive live performance!
Our halls will soon be decked with holiday favourites performed by artists including Chantal Kreviazuk (Dec. 5), Sean Cullen’s Christmas Cocktail Hour featuring Hawksley Workman (Dec. 15), Andy Kim with Ron Sexsmith, Sean Cullen and more (Dec. 31) and will kick off next Friday, November 26 with Canadian Brass: Making Spirits Bright at 8pm!
With an international reputation as one of the most popular brass ensembles today, Grammy-winning and JUNO nominated Canadian Brass has truly earned the distinction of “the world’s most famous brass group”.
Masters of concert presentations, Canadian Brass has developed a uniquely engaging stage presence and rapport with audiences for over 50 years! The hallmark of any Canadian Brass performance is entertainment, spontaneity, virtuosity and, most of all, fun – but never at the expense of the music. Whatever the style, the music is central and performed with utmost dedication, skill and excellence.
Canadian Brass will make your spirit bright with masterful and fun performances of “Carol of the Bells,” “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year,” “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch,” “Penny Lane,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and more.
Make a live performance together a new holiday tradition. Tickets and gift certificates always make great gifts.
Patrons who want to experience the energy of the live concert environment can purchase tickets through the BPAC Box Office, secure in the knowledge that the BPAC’s health and safety protocols are in place to keep performers and patrons safe. As per Ontario guidelines, all patrons must show proof of COVID-19 double vaccination to be permitted entry into the facility and wear a mask. ALL-IN PRICING INCLUDES ALL TAXES AND FEES!
