On Saturday, June 26, Radiant Girls and the JL Realty Group will host a fun family adventure race around the streets of Burlington. This is a free event, hunting for clues and collecting points, with a prize for the winning family. Event coordinators Gina Faubert and Justin Loncaric are excited about the event after everyone has been cooped up inside for so long. “So many people need this” and “it’s time to go out” and enjoy “lots of silliness and fun.”
Players are encouraged to donate baby items or non-perishable food items, and all donations will go to ROCK (Reach Out Centre for Kids). ROCK is the lead mental health agency in Halton and their goal is to promote and achieve optimal mental health in kids and families, building rock-solid people.
The event starts from your home at 11 a.m. and will take a couple of hours to complete. Your family will choose your own adventure, driving to some required checkpoints and some that you will choose on your own. Check out https://www.familyadventure.ca/ to learn more and register. Fifty families will enjoy local attractions and businesses in a safe way, “reminding you about all the wonderful things Burlington has to offer.”
Radiant Girls programs are designed for girls 8 to 16 years of age, “helping girls shine.” There is also a Teen Leadership Certification for teens up to 18 years of age. Events combine fun wellness activities with empowering coaching “to build positive self image, emotional intelligence, and strong leadership skills.” Gina Faubert is the founder of Radiant Girls, and a Burlington resident. She has a broad range of certifications and experience, including being a member of the advisory board for George Brown College’s Health Sciences programs. We encourage you to check out their website, radiantgirls.ca, for a variety of interesting virtual classes.
Justin Loncaric is a sales representative and team lead for the JL Realty Group, part of Keller Williams Signature Realty. Born, raised, and living in Burlington, Justin says that his “biggest goal in life is to leave a legacy for my children.” The JL Realty Group website includes WE CARE values: welcome, empower, change, accountability, respect, and effort.
Gina and Justin encourage everyone to remember and support local businesses. Let’s help them bounce back after a long challenging year.
