We are proud to introduce our adoptable pets of the week, Trumpet and her adopted kittens!
This past week, we saw a truly heartwarming story of a mother’s love and instinct. Trumpet, a female cat, was found alone in a field and brought to Burlington Humane. She was full of milk, clearly having recently nursed kittens, but none could be found.
That same day, a kind-hearted person brought us four tiny kittens who were being given away for free. We placed them in the same room where Trumpet was roaming, and as soon as she heard their cries, she jumped into the cage and began caring for the kittens. Trumpet’s maternal instinct remains strong, and those lucky kittens are now safe and loved.
This little family is now in foster care, where they’ll continue to thrive. In a few weeks, Trumpet and her new babies will be ready for adoption, so be sure to watch our website for updates.
Trumpet and her family will be available for adoption through the Burlington Humane Society. Local-news.ca has partnered with the Burlington Humane Society to bring you stories of some of the pets they have available for adoption. If you fall in love and want to adopt one of the pets featured, go to the Adopt a Cat or Kitten or the Adopt a Dog or Puppy page on their website for more information on how to proceed.
