Nov. 14, 2024 — Food4Kids Halton

Food4Kids Halton announces that it is among the twelve finalists in iA Financial Group’s Canada-wide philanthropic contest. This charity has the chance to win a donation of up to $100,000 to provide over 1,200 vulnerable children in Halton with life-changing access to nutritious food and support a new Youth Internship Program that empowers high school students to break the cycle of poverty, giving them the chance to thrive and build a brighter future.

Until November 27, 2024, the public is invited to go to ia.ca/contest-ia-donations and vote for submissions they find the most inspiring in each market (Quebec, Ontario, Western Canada, Northern Canada, and Atlantic Canada) from among the twelve finalist submissions.

“We are excited that iA Financial Group chose our submission. This donation would allow us to meet the growing demand for food among vulnerable children in Halton, ensuring that we can say ‘yes’ every time a school calls with a child in need — without a waitlist. Additionally, it will fund a Youth Internship Program, giving high school students the job skills, confidence, and hope to build a better future. We invite people to vote!” states Jennifer Sully-Ferraro, Food4Kids Halton’s executive director.

Note that a donation of $100,000 will be made to the four charities that receive the most votes and the remaining eight charities will each receive $10,000. Contest results will be announced in December.

Contest details are available at ia.ca/contest-ia-donations.
