Sept. 10, 2024 — Conservation Halton

Conservation Halton invites you to enjoy the vibrant fall colours at their parks! Starting on Saturday, September 28, 2024, park visitors will be able to experience the beautiful fall foliage during Fall Into Nature programming happening at Area 8, Kelso, Mountsberg, and Crawford Lake Conservation Areas on weekends until Saturday, October 27, 2024.

Fall Into Nature programming offers a variety of family-friendly outdoor activities so there is something for everyone to enjoy,” said Craig Machan, Director, Parks & Operations at Conservation Halton. “What makes Fall Into Nature different than other fall attractions is that many of our programs have been designed by our education, animal care, and trails teams providing an underlying layer of learning in every fun experience. Plus, all programs take place outside in our parks against the backdrop of the beautiful fall colours making the perfect family photo opportunity!”

This year we’ve added more attractions to kick off autumn, including the Little Anglers’ Fishing Derby and a new scavenger hunt, the ‘Case of the Missing Pumpkins’ at Mountsberg’s Spooktacular Halloween events. Fall into Nature programming includes:

  • Medals will be awarded to all participants for having fun fishing and trophies will be awarded for:
  • Biggest fish caught by an angler under 4 years old
  • Biggest fish caught by an angler between 5 and 6 years old
