In just one birding trip to Princess Point this spring, Peter Thoem spotted this Yellow Warbler alongside the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird and Scarlet Tanager whose photos we posted last week (click here), as well as a pair of Eastern Kingbirds and a pair of Warbling Vireos (see more at Thoem’s website, My Bird of the Day).
Thoem noted that the Yellow Warbler was likely in his territory for the season, and suspected that the pairs were looking for good nesting spots. Though Thoem didn’t share any photos of the Eastern Kingbirds he saw on this birding outing, he did capture (by image only!) the Eastern Kingbird below back in 2022.
