With only days until the event, the Burlington Winter Beer Festival has been cancelled after three beverage vendor partners withdrew from the event due to internal issues.
This was to be the ninth year of the event, which aimed to bring the community together to enjoy beer and food pairings made by Ontario-based craft breweries and local “food partners.”
Event organizers apologized for the inconvenience on their website, social media posts, and other communications, but had determined that the withdrawal of the three vendors would reduce the “participation levels below what we believe is a positive experience for our guests.”
The reasons given for the vendors having to step back from the festival last minute ranged from staffing to operational challenges.
The Burlington Winter Beer Festival was scheduled to take place on Fri., March 8, and Sat., March 9 at the Holiday Inn Burlington Hotel and Conference Centre.
