Over 150 artists will be displaying their work at the Art Gallery of Burlington (AGB) on Sat., Nov. 25 and Sun., Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on both days for the Arts Burlington Holiday Sale.
Across the AGB, guild artists will display their pottery, sculpture, photography, fine art, hooked crafts, carving, wood art, mixed media, and woven and spun art, ready to purchase.
Arts Burlington is made up of six guilds and associations: the Burlington Sculptors and Carvers Guild, the Burlington Potters Guild, the Burlington Hooking Craft Guild, the Burlington Fine Art Association, Burlington Handweavers and Spinners Guild, and the Latow Photographers Guild. Each guild holds its own regular meetings at the AGB, for members to get together, learn about and practice their craft.
The guilds always encourage interested newcomers to join; each have their own membership fees and require AGB membership as well. There are also occasional open studio days where participants can try their hands at the various arts.
Head to the AGB this weekend between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., to find locally-crafted items from hand-painted bowls, holiday ornaments, to handmade dish towels, and felted creatures and holiday characters, and much more. Go to the Arts Burlington website for more information.
