Peter Thoem spotted these Magnolia Warblers in the Royal Botanical Garden’s Hendrie Valley as part of a team effort to track and record numbers of the various species of bird that come through the area.
The Warblers were in town to eat, eat, eat, before their big move towards Central America, Thoem notes in his blog, My Bird of the Day. The main photo features a male with spring plumage; Thoem believes the bird below is a “first fall female.”
