The Mohawk Institute, an important educational landmark, is approaching a significant milestone, and Royal Botanical Gardens invites the public to join us for an enlightening event on Wednesday, September 27. This event, entitled “Telling the Truth: The Mohawk Institute Approaches a Milestone,” will provide attendees with a unique opportunity to learn from esteemed cultural resource professionals and board members of the Mohawk Village Memorial Park Board.
The educational event, taking place at The Rock at RBG, will feature insightful talks from Tim Johnson and other experts who have dedicated themselves to the Mohawk Institute exhibit and visitor experience, shedding light on the historical significance and the journey leading up to this milestone. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the Mohawk Institute’s role and importance within the community.
In partnership with Plenty Canada and the Mohawk Institute Phase 4 Interpretive Planning Team, this event aims to create awareness about the Mohawk Institute while supporting the Woodland Cultural Centre. By attending, guests will not only expand their knowledge but also contribute to the preservation and presentation of Indigenous culture.
