The city is looking forward to welcoming customers to the newly renovated first floor of City Hall at 426 Brant St. The new open space provides easy access to customer service counters for Service Burlington and Building, Renovating and Licensing.

Building, Renovating and Licensing
Visit the Building, Renovating and Licensing counter for information about:
- pre-building permits
- building permits
- zoning clearance
- the Committee of Adjustment
- business, personal, lottery and liquor licenses
- pool permits
- sign permits
We’re dedicated to making Burlington’s City Hall a positive, welcoming experience for all visitors, and this renovation is a great step forward. The newly renovated first floor will simplify customer interactions, provide more meeting space for staff and the community, meet the needs of our growing city, and create efficiencies that come from staff working together to better serve you.

Other features of the completed City Hall modernization project include:
- a new 40-foot bridge across the opening of the Atrium with glass railings
- a wider entrance from Locust Street with sliding doors for improved accessibility
- a light-filled lobby featuring a larger, furnished customer area that can double as a space for City events as required
- customer service counters with adjustable height, for improved accessibility
