It would be located on the north side of Plains Road just to the west of the Squires Pub.
A developer is proposing to remove the three existing buildings on the properties at 141, 147, and 153 Plains Road West and replace them with an eleven-storey building containing 131 condominium units and 143 square metres of retail space at street level.
Aldershot City Councillor Kelvin Galbraith revealed news of the proposal in his monthly newsletter to constituents. He advised that while the city has yet to receive a formal application, the developer is moving ahead with a virtual community information meeting on Monday, March 6 at 7 p.m.
The proposed building would include two levels of underground parking and two levels of parking above ground, oriented to the northern side of the building.
The project would require amendments to both the City’s Official Plan and its Zoning Bylaw.
