Peter Thoem took this photo of cliff swallows at the Royal Botanical Gardens on June 22, 2022.  He says they are considered common but he doesn’t see them very often. 

They build “their gourd-shaped nests… of mud”; the nests “adhere…to the underside of concrete bridges, decks and ledges.”
