This week’s adoptable pet is Charlie!

Charlie is a huge love bug with a beautiful lioness mane. She’s super affectionate, and purrs up a storm. She’s almost five years old and was almost euthanized for inappropriate urination; however, she just had a UTI! Thank goodness the vet refused to euthanize her and got her to us instead. We have gotten her vetted and she hasn’t had any issues with her urination since she’s been with us. She is declawed on her front paws, and is sensitive to stress, so she isn’t eating much in the shelter. We have ruled out medical causes for this, and really believe it would improve if she were given a chance in a stable home!

She has not been tested with kids or other animals, but given her gentle and loving disposition, we doubt she’d have much trouble acclimating to them.

Charlie is available for adoption through the Burlington Humane Society. If you fall in love and want to adopt one of the pets featured, go to the Adopt a Cat or Kitten or the Adopt a Dog or Puppy page on their website for more information on how to proceed.
