As we begin to reflect on the long-term impact of the pandemic, one thing is certain. We are feeling the loss of community, of gathering together.
Still, despite the odds during this pandemic, one Burlington visionary managed to find a way to bring people together online to share their interest, to get over that feeling of separateness that COVID forced upon us. Her name is Jennifer Jalal and she figured out that if you put out the call around a common activity, like knitting, for instance, people would show up digitally to spend time and share their love of craft.
Now Jennifer wants to expand that knitting circle and many other craft-centric gatherings into physical spaces as we open back up to face-to-face meetings once again.
Join me, Ralph Benmergui, on this edition of Imagine Burlington and get ready to knit one and purl two.
