Lamenza Corporation contacted us to let us know that they will be unveiling the Harvester Road Mural Art Project on Thursday, September 23 at 6 p.m. Residents are invited to 4325 Harvester Road to engage with the mural and see the unveiling of this place-making initiative.
The mural features a ground-level life-size butterfly in brilliant colour and was created by local resident Poonam Sharma. Poonam says that a “painting belongs to the artist; however, a mural belongs to that community.” The theme of this mural is “imagining” and building an equal, diverse, and inclusive city.
Lamenza is a social purpose real estate company and have been working on this project in collaboration with Mural Routes since late 2020. Mural Routes is a not-for-profit organization whose vision is to be a leading resource for all artists, organizations, and communities creating mural art.
