At the beginning of July, the BodyMed Boutique suffered from flooding after an attempted break-in to their store in the Mount Royal Plaza. The water damage impacted a great deal of their inventory. The BodyMed Boutique offers compression garments and essential services and products for people who have undergone mastectomies; they also started and run the Camisole Project, which provides care packages to breast cancer patients in Burlington and beyond.

The Camisole Project: Because We Care packages are provided free to women going through breast cancer surgery. Items like a post-surgical camisole, a heart-shaped pillow to hold under the arm, a journal and pen, wipes to use after surgery, cozy socks, and lip balm are included. I can tell you from family experience how greatly appreciated the packages are during a really difficult time.

If you are able to make a donation toward the Camisole Project, please do. This will help restock the items that go into the care packages for women in our community.
