About Show Your Local Love Day
On May 26, volunteers across Halton & Hamilton will have the opportunity to take part in a multitude of online projects supporting local, United Way-funded agencies for VIRTUAL Show Your Local Love Day.
This community-based initiative will support frontline agencies and individuals who continue to be directly affected by the impact of COVID-19. With these projects, volunteers are able to support our local heroes while staying home, and staying safe.
Together, we can make a difference by supporting those who need it most.
Some projects our virtual volunteers can take on this year include:
- Host a 30–45 minute Zoom session for clients/caregivers on a topic of general interest
- Create an outdoor fun kit for UWHH-supported programs for kids in need
- Help spread a smile and send a greeting card to those in need
- Record an educational and recreational activity to support Learning @ Home Virtual Programming
